Muppets dump Chick-fil-a

Chick-fil-a is amazingly good IMO. As much as I support gay rights, come on. It's tasty and the only part that bugs me about their Christian practices is that they are closed Sunday.

Being closed on Sunday is the only part of their Christian practices that I agree with. Most places should be closed on Sundays.

(Note that I don't support Blue Laws)

How else am I supposed to get my fix of sweet, speedy unhealthy on Sundays?

Is it the younger generation or the older generation? I live in Texas and it's not a problem usually (although I've been to the poorer parts of Texas and it's horrible) with the younger generation. And when it is, it's not because they're Christian, it's because they're closed-minded assholes in general.

The damages are expected to be high enough that Chick-fil-a may become the owners of the copy right to the Muppets franchise.

Some how I think Disney might be amused by that concept, saying they own those rights and Disney don't play fair.

No kidding. Ever want to know how long copyrights are good for? Check how old Mickey Mouse is. Every time the mouse gets close, Disney gets the length of time moved up. They're the 800 pound mouse in the room.

It's their choice, just as it's our choice and the Muppets to not want anything to do with it. I mean, In n' Out puts religious scripture in their packaging and even as an atheist, I'm cool with it as long as they keep dishing up delicious burgers and surprisingly horrible french fries.

I don't care if you're religious, it's when you use that religion to try and legislate your faith--especially to limit the rights of a whole group of people just because you think they're icky. Having faith is your own problem, wear your cross, whisper to your imaginary friend at night, whatever gets you through the day. But try to make your faith my faith and I get to tell you what I think of it and try to legislate your faith and I don't think fighting back is a 'war on your faith' anymore than those actions are a war on my lack there of.

Not that me not eating there matters much, I don't consume that much fast food anymore and, as I already stated, I found their food horrible so I wasn't going to go back no matter what their politics.

They just opened a Chick-fil-a here for the first time, and man-o-man, it was fucking nasty. No, nasty would be a complement because that meant that it had some sort of character outside of some chickenlike slab betwixt something resembling bread.

This will be the easiest boycott since Nike (not liking sneakers in general as I do).

I wondered the same thing about Krispy Kreme, when they finally opened one up in Northern California everyone lost their mind and I thought, "Am I the only one who wasn't having a hard time finding a donut shop?" and their donuts were some sort of gross congealed sugar substance that made me feel like diabetes was about to set in after the second bite. When the California branches filed for bankruptcy I felt some order had been restored in the universe.

All of the service staff will be scantily clad (male and female, equal opportunity titillation after all.), play nothing but uncensored gangster rap and heavy metal during business hours even on the patio, offer special incentives and specials on sundays, and make it a policy of hiring the best students from culinary school and encourage them to make the tastiest food they can.

Have you tried Chick-fil-a before? It is basically fried chicken sandwiches, I don't consider it anything special but it isn't that bad either. By my estimate, it is a step above KFC but not by much. I think it is all well and good, that the Muppets and Chick-fil-a are staying consistent in their beliefs and have parted ways; but I mainly only care about the end product whenever purchasing anything. It would take a lot in general, to get me to actively boycott any business.

Yeah. Once. It didn't live up to the hype.

I do love me some In-n-Out, and back in the '80s, Dominoes had lovely pizza. If In-n-Out started this type of stuff, then I'd make the decision to not patronize that establishment. (Dominoes is sub-par by far now and no longer run exclusively by Christian zealots, so that's a moot point.)
