Note the guy who's running the show, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei. He's part of the UAE government, a minister of something or other (I'm finding conflicting claims with different dates at different sources). In general, the company seems to be a semi-official government media outlet... of a government formally at war with Israel, and still a little touchy about a hit on their soil, widely blamed on the Mossad. I agree about the lack of objectivity in the ME News, but this story is pretty much par for the course. You should google "al arakib" to see what happens to Bedouin with ISRAELI CITIZENSHIP, so seeing this happen to West Bank Bedouin, especially in the Jordan Valley, an area that is entirely denoted as Area C (except for Jericho) isn't surprising in the least.

Honesty, don't let those people bother you. I don't really like Israel, but I do respect it (which is why I support it, but let's not get into that now) but I would never insult a people (besides the Quebecois, but again, another time) I think the IDF's problem is they now are getting people who were alive in the intifada, and having bombs dropped on you doesn't make you like a people. a) convenience
b) holding Israel to the standards of a OECD country and not backwards shitholes (government-wise) like Jordan and Egypt
c) Because Bedouin have legal title to ancestral lands in Jordan, Syria, and Egypt (I don't know how the Gulf works, although technically they're all Bedouin).

I will say that Bedouin women have many more opportunities for education in Israel (and also have police protections in the case of sexual violence).

But, bias aside, the fact that Israel is exempt from anything, even genocide just seems so wrong, so immoral, and proof of oppression. By ones exporting of colonial values that urge the nations to steal everything from the natives (Manifest Destiny, anyone?), into the Middle East, all it does is make things worse. The only reason why we don't bother liberating it is because... they are democratic, they have oil, and we feel that Israel is better than nothing for the homeland of the Jewish peoples. However, the British had treated them much worse, so they could be venting their rage at Israel, instead of Britain, for their current atrocities.
