What can I say? I know only the basics in just about everything (except anime), and like any late adolecent I try to act as maturely as possible to set an example for smaller siblings and to please my parents...though like most others I suppose I orccasionaly have childish fits. I really do admire your seemingly vast quantities of knowledge, which made me think you were a college student.

Under the United Nations geoscheme, yes, it is, although it shares a lot of culture with Western Europe. But then again, think of how similar it is to somewhere like Italy. Its hard to define.

Italy is pretty diverse from region to region in itself, and Southern Italy also as a lot of Spanish influence so that's another reason for the similarities. I definitely would classify Spain as Western Europe though.

Actually I believe I am dutch not Irish, but I am not sure more than likely i am partially northern European of some sort.

Personally I see people on the Iberian peninsula like Spain, Portugal, Andorra, Galicia, etc I think of as their own group they are both unique and similar to many other Europeans so I just call them Iberian.

Also I cant be descended from Thomas Jefferson and his little Mulatto concubine(his concubines Mother was the concubine of her master too.). My family comes from Massachusetts, we have been free since the American war of independence so none of us were slaves of Jefferson.

I support either full statehood or full independence. None of this "in-between commonwealth" crap.

But, if I had to pick one of the two, I would say Statehood. Puerto Ricans are already American citizens, so making us a State would be easier. Also, it would be more beneficial if we were a state than if we were on our own.

But let's cut this commonwealth stuff out. It serves no purpose, and is a drain on the budget.

1. Virginia's a Commonwealth. What's wrong with that?

2. Even if you are ethnically Puerto Rican, Puerto Rico has been given opportunities to become a State. They don't want to be, for whatever reason - and they don't want independence.
It's fine with me. No need to change the federal flag, and no need to learn that there's another State in the Union. Fifty is nice and even.

1. Virginia is a Commonwealth in name only (same with Kentucky)
2. 51 State flag would look a lot cooler.
