Born in Scotland reared in Ireland I belong to the Scots/Irish or Ulster Scots ethnic group. however I think I have French hugenot ancestry, although thats not backed up with any facts just going on family surnames.

I am aware of at least two others. I think Moutere is Māori, although I'm not sure. There was also this other guy who name escapes me. One thing I do remember was that he may have been gay. It's been a while since I've seen him round.

I'm probably the only one who is, at least, kinda well-known.

Although I do have a grandfather from Preston, Lancashire (his grandmother was an Ismay (of Titanic fame) who were Jews but she married an Ulster man). I also have a great great grandfather who was an American Whaler and one of the early settlers up Massachusetts ways (not on the Mayflower but soon after:)). Interestingly my grandmother was adopted by a Cook Island couple, so I have a connection there too (well all Maori do but this one was more recent:)) and another ancestor might be either Hawaiian or 'Black' American (no-ones sure)

Yeah, it's kind of a Southern myth/rumor/established and accepted fact that black people with red hair are descended from him, he having red hair, and red hair also showing up randomly far down generations.

My ethnicity is Cajun. I have Cajun French in me the most(descendant of the Acadians who were forced out of Canada after the French and Indian war)Creole(As in the first French people in Louisiane) ,Native American(Coushatta and Cherokee) and Irish.

I would prefer it if there was a 'British' ethnicity in the poll as North European is too broad. Scandinavian people are distinctly different from the British. In any case, I am British and something like 1/251 French.

Mine's simple enough. Half from the Netherlands. The rest from New Zealand, England or Ireland. The New Zealand dies out after five/six generations and gives way to England. The Ireland starts at great-great-grandparents, so pretty distant. The New Zealand ends the generation after that. (By ends I mean the first of my family to be born in NZ. Starts is the last born in Ireland.)

If your referencing me; Google it, Anglo-Celtic is the ethnic classification for people in countries of mainly British/Irish descent, but many generations removed from Britain itself.
