I'm ethnicaly English, so that's mostly West Germanic, 2 litres of North Germanic, a teaspoon of Celtic and a thimble full of Latin.

My mom's side is mainly Irish and my dad's side is heavily mixed European but we know there is some British, Irish and German in there. My great-great-great grandfather was Native American.

I'd estimate that I'm approximately two-thirds Irish, with the other third made up of Native American and assorted Western European heritages.

Hopefully you don't live in the Caucasus, that whole region is a mess (corruption, war, crime, lots of poverty and religious-racial conflicts). But I am mixed race, I am pretty much related to most ethnic groups of Europe through my fathers and mothers side; and then the middle east and the Caucasus again through my mothers side. Not that its easy to tell, as both sides of my family are well assimilated into the US and NZ. :meh:

On my Dad's side I am mostly Scottish-Scandinavian with a bit of Irish and Greek-Cypriot blood thrown in too, but on my Mum's side I am practically English through and through, although I do believe that they did originate in Denmark. My Dad's Mum's side of the family used to be Counts and Earls and Margraves in Northumbria and Yorkshire, and I think on my Dad's Dad's side of the family were some Danish-Norwegian Dukes. My Mum's side I am convinced are descended from King Cnut, and through him, Leif Ericsson, but it's more likely they were English Lords. I'm not posh whatsoever though, all that stayed with my fourth/third cousins. One of them, called Daniel (Fourth Cousin, Once Removed) went to Eton with Prince William and is an Earl.

On Dad's side, so far as I've dug up and/or heard, English/Anglo-Norman, German, Scots-Irish, Dutch, French, Welsh, a metric fucktonne of other things from over 500 years ago, and enough blank spots where almost anything could be hiding.

On Mom's side, there's even more mystery, but from findings and stories, German, Irish, English, French-Canadian, Dutch, Italian, and Mohawk. Maybe a little Scottish in there someplace. That side of the family isn't researched as well.

I'm British, with a lot of Scottish and English. I'm also quarter-Chilean, through my grandfather, who himself had a lot of Scottish. I also have a fair bit of Dutch. I'm still not entirely sure what ancestry there is in my Chilean ancestry. Also, I'm descended from Muhammed

But then again, most of Europe is, most likely.

I'm Scottish, Welsh, Irish, Dutch and maybe even some Roma/Irish traveller although my Grandad abandoned my Dad's family when he was born, and my maternal grandma was adopted, probably from and Irish familly. We're quite a complicated family when it comes to genealogy.

1400 years ago, this man of great renown was among the most powerful men in Arabia. His children were highly sought after among all the greatest families of the Middle East. Soon, much of the nobility were descended from the Prophet. In Islamic Spain, the nobilities of the Muslim kingdoms intermarried a lot with the Christian kingdoms. The blood of royal and aristocratic families disperses quickly throughout Europe. And a ot of people are in fact descended from the royal families. And these are just the more high-profile routes of descent.

I've always considered it Western Europe, though I know some say it's "central."
