Even mutt dogs have a color of fur. Any theories upon such an ancestry?

At the moment I know of English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, German, Australian Aboriginal, and perhaps some Spanish and Chinese. Maybe even some Syrian.

Part Croatian, Slovenian, Italian, French, Korean and Mongolian. My grandfather came over here in the 1950s shortly after being liberated from Dachau, and my mother, who met my father while he was stationed in Korea, became a citizen in the the early 80s.

So your grandfather was in a concentration camp, and your dad became a soldier or airman? Badass! I knew a lot of mixed kids who came from Korea, the Philippines ect when I grew up, see, I'm an AF brat myself.

Yes, he joined the army in the 70s. Strangely enough, my uncle (on my father's side) was half-German, half-Croatian (my grandmother was Croatian). His father was actually an SS officer that my grandmother married while the Germans occupied that part of the world and got killed.

But yeah. My dad met my mom in Korea, they got married, she became a citizen, they went to Germany (where I was born) and now I'm here today

Ah, been in the USA 100% of the time, but me dad's been to England, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Greece, Germany, Korea, the Philippines and if I recall correctly, a layover in Canada once. =P

Mainly Finnish with hints of Swedish and Russian, possibly Estonian and Kven. I'm not too sure on the Kven, but I do hope I have some Kven ancestry.

See, the problem with the word 'ethnicity' is that it straddles ancestry and national identity (of course, this is not helped by declaring that there's no such thing as an American or Australian ethnicity).

So, in terms of identity, I'm English and British.
In terms of ancestry, I'm half English and half Irish, which will make me a mix of Gael, Brython, and Anglo-Saxon. But since my family name is Hiberno-Norman, it's safe to assume that I'm also partly French (oïl) and Scandinavian. And probably some others too.

I reckon that overseas there is. However, in Australia, the US etc. there isn't. If that makes sense. That applies in such countries. However, when the categories are thus they don't exist.

I dont know, the most i know about my heritage is that the family (Mc Kernan) held a hold seat in county Cavan a few hundred years ago. Thats about it.

Well, I know that my mother's father's family is Acadian and Mi'kmaq, and that her mother's family comes largely from Skibbereen of a century or so ago (they emigrated to America, hence the French Canadian bits), and I also know that most of my father's family is from Cork. I've never really tried to find out more, though I probably should at some point.
