NationState's Ethnicities

Now, first and fore mostly, this is not your nationality. Many people seem to confuse the two. Your nationality is what country you are from, and generally what citizenship you hold though in some cases you may be a dual citizen. An ethnic group is a group of people whose members identify with each other through a common heritage, consisting of a common culture, including a shared language or dialect. The group's ethos or ideology may also stress common ancestry, religion, or race. This means while you are from the US, you may be ethnically Abazin (from Russia, Turkey, or Armenia), or while you are from France, you may be ethnically Breton.

I am an ethnic Scottish Gael, born and raised in Scotland. How about you all?

I'm Irish American. My family came to the United States on my mothers side in 1903, and on my fathers side in 1912.

Irish American. Fathers side came here about 1996 and I don't know much about my mother's side, mainly because nobody will give me any straight answers. It's all "well, there's this guy from England/Ireland/Scotland/Germany who may or may not have moved here in 1609/1730/1776/1801/1876/1903 but I dunno it's really weird lolinternet"

Almost completely English - thereby, Anglo-Saxon. Ancestors came to Virginia in 1607 and around 1632. The second batch were Cavaliers, fleeing England after the Civil War.
More recently, in the later 1800's, the German part of my family came to America.
There's one Italian, and some Austrians and Ukrainians in my ancestry as well.

So, all-over European.

I'm the poster child for the Third Reich, German, German, and more German, with some Austrian and Luxembourgish thrown in to spice things up; however, my family's been in the US so long it dosen't really matter.
