Stupidest things that your school system has done

In my middle school you can basicly FAIL, not go to summer school, and still go on to the next grade. I am living proof (Im doing a lot better in high school now though). There was also this thing called read 180,where you do some trivial reading and some other things, I didn't learn a single thing in there. The only reason I started to understand english was durring summer school, in high school, my teacher was a creative writing teacher and he made us make our own examples with the basics of english.
Practice doesn't make perfect; Perfect practice makes perfect.

My wife is a reading specialist, and she used read 180 for a bit.... frankly it sounds like they really were not using the whole program, just throwing you some materials from it.

Gave a friend of mine suspension for being bullied. He had been subject to the assholes' torment for about half the year and at a passing the hallway, the asshole starting messing with my friend - and he just lost it and went berserk rage. Was funny to see, but the school was deadset with punishing just him and treated the bully as a victim.

In Middle School, we had a rule that all males had to tuck in their shirts or face On-School Suspension (exact same thing as ISS). We organized petitions and even got parents involved but the school refused to back down and would over-fill OSS just because they didn't want to conform to the children's demands. Bastards.

Allowing me to graduate? Also their computer security was horrible it allowed me to send abusive school-wide messages to everyone as anyone I chose to be. I always wondered if they ever got hauled into the office for some of my shenanigans not that I would have cared.

EDIT: also, we try tostudy all too quickly, the things you study in 8 grade we study it in 6 grade, so wedontlearn anything, they make us to study by memory, not thinking, so our education system its not a reflect of your intelligence orculture, but our memory, and,7 not like other countries where you select the things you want to study (maths english, chemistry...) in spain we cant

If any school had this rule (Except for a private school) I would ignore it and if any teacher or admin tried to force me to... Well they’re barking up a very big legal tree.

The reason is stupid. A relaxed team will never win. However, if there was no academic component then there are benefits to a structured and dedicated period for sport.

The fact that if some guy attacks you no matter even if you are surrounded you cannot fight back and defend yourself otherwise you get suspended alongside the guy who attacked you. It punishes the victim and teaches people not to stand up for themselves, there was a kid who was surrounded and when the bully hit him and he blocked it, they were both sent to the office and the Kid got suspended for 2 weeks while the bully got just 3 days. The Kid only blocked, and he was surrounded by the bully's friends so he couldn't run away and he was suspended for way longer than the bully its ridiculous.

My school got rid of gym class my senior year. Due to "budget cuts" apparently the entire art and music center was cut next year.

I'm now leaving middle school, but something really irks me about their management choices. OK, so the principal retires. Instead of promoting the Vice Principal, who works his ass off and is very popular amongst students for his ability to solve issues, to the position of principal, they ship some random dude in from California for the job.
