Braver than me, to volunteer to put yourself in a position that might cost you life and limb. And yes, I'm sure he does mean that, but he didn't say that, did he? I want to hear from him what he thinks the National Defense Authorization Act is and what it does, because like a lot of people around here, I suspect he has no bloody idea.

And that part of the act did nothing more than "reaffirm" power that the President and the government had had since 2001.

The constitutionality of that power is for the courts to decide. You may think it's unconstitutional and I may not like it, but neither of our opinions really matters except as we express them to our elected representatives who might have acted to remove the language from the bill.
