The economy is always an important issue. Even when it is doing well. I don't see why we shouldn't focus on gay rights so that we can just get that legislation well and over with, and then put our attention back on the economy. Becuase the gay rights/gay marriage thing should really be over with by now.

Besides, I bet the extra weddings would be a good boost to demand for all kinds of things. Rice, flowers, cake ingredients.
We can't afford NOT to give gays equal rights because of the impact it has on our economy!

I'm not homosexual instead i am asexual so the welfare of people of sexuality is not particularly important to me nor effects me so i have to say the economy is more important to me since well it actually matters and effects me personally.

If I had to pick one, the economy. However, there is no reason why Congress can't enact appropriate measures for both the economy and gay rights, no matter your views on these issues- notice I said "appropriate". Oh yeah. Non-partisan NSG'er. :p
