No. Force is not necessary to violate civil rights. No. Just. No.
LOL what are you reading that makes you think this is so?

Three guesses...anyone, anyone? Who can score the trifecta?
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

You ARE aware that a member of 'the people' can run for office right?

Ok see, in the United States we have something called Elections, thats where members of the public can run for political office.
People come together and vote on who they want to win.

Then you should know better. Our government officials are elected, not appointed. Now, there are problems with things like gerrymandering to make it harder to have a decent choice, but that is neither here nor there.

When someone is fired for their religious beliefs (Hindu/Wiccan/Christian whatever)
A person is turned down for a auto loan because of their skin color.
A person is refused as a applicant for an apartment because they are foreign.

Seriously I could go on for days. But I don't want to waste my time. If you want to go through life believing that to be true, be my guest.

In order to violate civil rights, you have to be:

1. The state

Private schools fit neither condition.

Seriously? Where do you get this from?

You should be familiar with the tactic by now:

1. Take commonly-used phrase with positive connotations
2. Redefine using dictionary definitions of each word
3. Apply phrase with new definition to support unrelated argument
4. Win argument.
5. Stop reading thread when step 4 turns out to be temporary

I think is someone wants to fire a good employee from their business, they should be allowed to crash their own business and bankrupt themselves. Companies that act irrationally don't survive if they keep it up.

Wouldn't those situations all fall into the category of economic force? They are exploiting positions of authority( employer, banker, landlord) to cause a form of harm to someone.
