If that happens, given Notre Dame's recent football scheduling deal with the ACC, wouldn't it make sense to have ND join the ACC in football now? UConn will now try to get into the ACC, leaving the Big East once again looking to replece them (ECU finally? or maybe UMass/Marshall/Buffalo/Army?)

The very fact that the timing of a team's loss can devastate their title hopes is the reason why Bama shouldn't be in the title this year.
