Even though, you know, a team still being in the race after losing with two weeks left is pure bullshit.

We just have to have ND lose. If Bama plays ND, we can forget about a 15th national title. The refs will help ND out. If ND loses, that guarantees an all-SEC national title.

I'm pretty sure Minnysota is raging right now, or at least mad. :p

Yay! Iowa State beats Kansas 51-23 and is bowl eligible for the second year in a row! Also the Big 12 and SEC came to terms for the Sugar Bowl "Champions Bowl" starting in 2015 for twelve years.

NS is just a state of mind, time has no boundary nor does our sanity.

I don't hate LSU, I just don't like them.

I always get verbally attacked because I'm a Bama fan. And USC and ND fans get respect. Funny how logic works.

You get attacked because you're such an easy target and you have a victim complex about being an Alabama fan, fuck knows why. Knowing people who are fans of all 3 teams, I think of them all pretty much the same. Except that the Bama fans I know haven't been fans for very long, save one of them. But I live in Illinois so that's expected. ND fans annoy me (in a rival fan kind of way, not personally), but they certainly aren't fair weather fans. Same with USC fans, except they don't bother me that much.

If that happens, given Notre Dame's recent football scheduling deal with the ACC, wouldn't it make sense to have ND join the ACC in football now? UConn will now try to get into the ACC, leaving the Big East once again looking to replece them (ECU finally? or maybe UMass/Marshall/Buffalo/Army?)

Hope this doesn't happen. They don't fit Big Ten culture or geography. Only teams I would be ok with joining are Mizzou (which obvious won't happen now) and ND. And maybe Pitt, though I'm afraid they would just be another Purdue or something comparable.

This is why I actually like the BCS way better than a 4 team playoff. Two years from now, last week's Bama game doesn't matter and Oregon's game tonight doesn't matter. With this system, Bama got whacked for getting beat, and now Oregon and K State are too. The only imperfection is that the time of your loss matters more than it should.

Well Notre Dame has to play somebody... seeing as Ohio State's on probation. So by default, ND will be playing a 1-loss team in the BCS championships, provided they beat USC next week of course.

The very fact that the timing of a team's loss can devastate their title hopes is the reason why Bama shouldn't be in the title this year.

NOPE.

The Alabama (assuming they beat Auburn)-Georgia loser's gone, and the pollsters will not move a 2 loss LSU up or a 2 Loss Florida up to #2 (assuming FSU beats Florida). So that'll leave either a 11-1 Oregon (who didn't win the Pac 12) or an 12-1 FSU (who won the ACC, assuming they beat Miami again in the ACC championship) or an 11-1 K-State (winning the Big XII) or an 11-1 Notre Dame. Of those 4.. Florida State would likely be the #2 team.

ON Thanksgiving Weekend:
BEST CASE Scenario:
Notre Dame wins v. USC; Alabama beats Auburn and Georgia beats Georgia Tech; setting up #2 Bama v #3 Georgia for a BCS title berth vs. #1 Notre Dame.

Worst Case scenario: Somehow Oklahoma winds up in the title game against Rugters. (It could happen.. just would need about 11 upsets over the next two weeks)

Lol @ Bama's schedule. Click on the team links. All but TAMU and LSU are the definition of terrible or mediocre, and even then LSU's offensive stats (as are Bama's) aren't anything to be proud of.

You're an Alabama fan, all those championships have got to take away some of the hurt right?

Our one can't replenish an embarrassing loss to San Jose State...Or that now Alabama has pretty much just won the 2013 BCS National Championship.

Tennessee loses to Vandy, K-State and Oregon lose, Notre Dame is still undefeated. Fuck. The upcoming battle for the Jeweled Shillelagh might be the only time in history that I will have ever rooted for USC.

Watching NFL ball only if Alabama lucks into a BCS Championship win. Watching CFL ball only if Patriots luck into a Super Bowl victory. FML.

...still somewhat optimistic I guess, Georgia versus ND would be alright. Backing Georgia 100% if they win the Championship, so STILL PRAYING IF YOU'D LIKE TO HELP ME OUT HERE, GOD.

They've played two tough teams so far. I think Notre Dame has a chance. It's the two best defenses going against each other with mediocre offenses on both sides.
