Scandavian States wrote:'Bama, ND, and Oregon (or should that be Ore-con) all played below the hype last night. In fact, I think they showed their true colors. Bama should have lost that game and will probably lose against aTm (because Johnny Football is legit), ND proved that the OU game was a fluke, and Oregon still hasn't faced a real defense but came perilously close to losing anyway. This is going to sound crazy to most, but I don't know that any of those teams can beat K-State.

The day Texas A&M beats Alabama is when hell freezes over. And that happened January 10, 2011.

It's not like Alabama hasn't lost before. Just means that they won't win 3 titles in 4 years (unless two of K-State, Oregon or ND lose)

Well I certainly did (and I'm a Longhorn fan).

Finally, we're all spared the nauseating SportsCenter conversations about "OMG, 'Bama can totally beat NFL teams! herp derp"

The 9-0 win streak of Alabama was stopped when they lost against #15 Texas A&M 29-24

Notre Dame is such an interesting team to watch, the offense by no way is impressive, but they manage to finish out in every single game.

However the rest of this discussion tonight will be filled with talk of Alabama and Johnny Football.

If the BCS was at all honest, which would be novel, they would not place an SEC team in the national championship game this year.

Left for K-State?
@ Baylor
vs. Texas

Oregon:

@ California
v. Stanford
@ Oregon St.
(PAC-12 Championship)

Notre Dame:
W 21-3 @ Boston College
v. Wake Forest
@ USC.

Alabama's by no means dead in the BCS, but they need at least 2 of the 3 remaining BCS-eligible unbeatens to lose to get back in. Of the 3... Oregon's got the toughest road left.
