Only 7 teams are good enough to make this list. the Preseason version takes into account last year's results and this year's expectations.
#1- Green Bay Packers
#2- New England Patriots
#3- New York Giants
#4- Baltimore Ravens
#5- Houston Texans
#6- San Francisco 49ers
#7- Pittsburgh Steelers
and the Bottom of the barrel team going into this season is: The Miami Dolphins.

The Steelers are old
the Ravens and Texans don't have a decent QB(also the Ravens are aging too)

I'd agree with the Pack being on top at the moment, if only because of the perception of loss with Goodell robbing New Orleans of her coach.

Surely this has to be at least a somewhat off year for the Saints? Just get through this season, and things will look better.
Pro Sports Daily has them 10-6, the NFC team with the worst records in the playoffs, losing the wild card game.
Football Nation has them out of the playoffs, losing the division to the Falcons.
Yahoo Sports has them out of the playoffs.
WTMY Fox Sports has them out of the playoffs.
