Putting them all on trial would require evidence that every single one of them was guilty of a capital crime (and who wants to take the acquitted ones). And putting them on boats? That does not solve the problem. Golden Boy Bush used boat prisons for years, and they were no better than Guantanamo.

Except that some of those Democrats were conservative blue dog democrats from traditionally-Republican districts who voted with the Republicans, and they never had a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate.
