Besides, petroleum usage as a fuel is a large contributor to greenhouse gases. I.E., the shit that traps heat in the atmosphere.

Natural gas is a much cleaner and more efficient alternative to oil, IIRC. And we have metric shittons of it.

An exponentially growing population would completely overrun the planet in less than a month. So I'm going to go out on a limb and say you don't actually know what that word means. Also you're clearly unaware of the concept of scarcity and finite resources.
