I had a bad experience of it once. My friends mocked me mercilessly the next day, for buying something called Badel. The price was low and the guy in the shop said it was good ... but it really wasn't.

Like it. Enjoy me some beer. Especially Guinness, although I have yet to meet a microbrew (in my brief experience) that I didn't like. Landshark is also enjoyable. Also, I'm a sucker for sidra (Asturian cider).

I enjoy wine and orujo/brandy as well. I'm down with whiskey. Not a fan of vodka or anything with everclear in it, though.

Surely that's not a rocket? Looks like a lot of wasted structural weight to make something that narrow. And any advantage of making it narrow in reducing aerodynamic drag would be canceled-out by ... what is that anyway? ... it looks like a rocket clown wig.

Saturn V was a good-looking rocket. But the Russky ones (Soyuz etc) ... that's what people thought rockets should look like before there even were rockets capable of reaching space. Pointy on top and fat in the ass. You can't have too many nozzles.

Ariane series works OK, but what skinny and weak-looking things they are. No style, Europe, no style.

That is all well and good, but the article points out variables that aren't related to drinking. Not to mention alcohol isn't the only means of reducing stress. So I don't believe drinking is exclusively the cause of a longer life.

I can, however, believe the moderate drinking part.

I don't drink that much, and very little in comparison to my countrymen. I'm pretty good at drinking though, not going overboard and not drinking crap that will get me hung over.

For beers I prefer Tuborg Classic (Danish) and Sol (Mexican - with a lime of course - I don't need it to keep the flies out, but it tastes better.)
Drinks, usually vodka/coke with a squirt of lime or a good Tom Collins - or a Long Island Ice Tea (Vodka/Tequila/Gin/Rum variant) if I'm "behind."

I never drink red wine or especially shots - not even tradional Danish Snaps or Gammel Dansk - the very idea that drinking an alcoholic beverage that tastes like shit being proof of strength is quite alien - to me it is a sign of stupidity.

I'm 29 atm. and have been drinking alcohol (only in social gatherings) since I was fourteen. I've been hung over twice in my life around that age, too - from red wine and shots. Haven't had a hangover since.

I recently established a new rule for myself when inventing/mixing drinks: they must always have the exact same amount of water as they do spirits. Screw dehydration and if people can't drink responsibly I'll mix responsible drinks for them when they ask (and they always do if they've been drinking with me before because my drinks are outright magickal.)

I must say, I've done coke a few times (accidently) and I'm fine. I've also drunk a fair bit and there doesn't seem to be any health problems.

Of course, I doubt this would be the case for heavy drinking etc. but as you can see from the source I posted above yours the benefits do outweigh the negitives on the larger scale. Stop expanding the negitive ends of alcohol use onto the rest of us.

When I drink I usually drink Pilsner Urquell, Tuborg, Carlsberg, Budweiser Budvar, Heineken, Hansa, Cheap Norwegian Vodka, Captain Morgan, Malibu, Gin, Smirnoff or White wine.

Yeeup. Because, every time you touch a drop of the stuff, you turn into a brain dead zombie. Sounds about right.

I've been drinking for a while, and according to my doctor, my liver's at no risk. Testosterone is normal as well, as he confirmed, since Wifey likes to make sure we don't drink too heavily to actually do any of that. Brain and memory? Well, I was smart enough to drive down to my brother's house and fix his car while he was away. I also retain the memory of many things I did a while back.

Personally I prefer liquers most, especially vodka and rum, though I'm fine with the occasional beer. I'm starting to be introduced to more wines, but haven't really developed a taste for the stuff.
