Each one of them has its own merits. Though I tend to drink local productions - because alcoholic beverages, apart from spirits, tend to spoil when moved too much.

I don't like alcohol much. It's pretty much destroyed my whole family and left what was left over with either poverty, mental illness, or cancer. Take it from me, alcohol is not fun. It destroys lives and any potential you may have had either physically or mentally. There is so much more to life than getting trashed all the time.

Because drinking alcoholic beverages = getting trashed all the time. And because I've no physical or mental potential anymore.
Basically, you're claiming that "you all drinkers are physically disabled idiots and aren't having a life". Uh uh.

Some people can hold and manage alcohol. Some other people can't. Just because some drinkers you know were bent on getting trashed doesn't mean everyone else does.

Also decent wines, gin & tonic and whiskey.

Not a huge drinker these days but there is nothing wrong in drinking to moderation. One thing that really has changed in terms of drinking habbits is the size of wine glasses and staff that pour far too much into the glass.
