That's completely insane. Firstly, frogs don't spend all their time sitting on lily pads and can paddle quite well. Secondly, chickens are birds so they'd float as well as a duck does.

This is definitely it.
Also, if having people around, but not to the same scale as a house party, don't let a coked-up friend barricade himself in the under-stairs cupboard.

Why not spend your money when you're young and enjoy doing things rather than saving it and then not being able to do some things because it turns out you've ended up with too many commitments, or that your health doesn't permit you to do those things, or that there's a worldwide financial crash that means that you can't afford to do it anyway?
I'd much rather enjoy myself while I'm young and have the energy/ability/freedom from commitments to do so than get to 65 and realise that I can't.

Look at it this way, seeing coldplay is at age 20 is nice, picking the medic who is going to do your prostrate surgery at 55, is priceless.

Thankfully Nadkor and I live in an awesome country where healthcare is (largely) free at point of service, so yeah, Coldplay it is.

Also - shot in the dark here - but does anyone know anything about the QUB post-grad Political Philosophy program that the uni website doesn't say?

Aberdeen is grey. Very grey. And I don't mean figuratively or anything, it's got a huge number of granite buildings, and in winter it's really quite grim.
I don't know anything about the QUB course, but QUB is a good university, very friendly and a lovely main campus, and Belfast is a great city, so if that helps then go for it.
Although I say that as a graduate of QUB and as a native of Belfast, so I might be somewhat biased.

Although, I will note with embarrassment, sometimes I struggle really real thick Norn Irish accents. Is there an accent specific to Belfast itself?

If you want an idea of what the city looks like, this thread is a pretty good indication.Although, I will note with embarrassment, sometimes I struggle really real thick Norn Irish accents. Is there an accent specific to Belfast itself?
There are accents specific to different streets/areas of Belfast, but even if it seems a bit impenetrable at first most people get used to it quickly and it's no bother.
