It's jumping the gun with "impeachment". If, on the other hand it becomes, "obstruction of justice" with the President's knowing participation....

I really don't know why the President is helping Holder out, unless it's for the Administration's reputation or that he figures in it somehow.

I rather hope that it just remains a dark enough cloud over their heads to hurt their re-election chances. And Holder, if guilty, should be nailed to the wall by the incoming Romney Administration.

Holder isn't the one telling Congress they can't have the documents. That would be the President.

That'd be shooting the messenger. And not even the right messenger, according to that ABC article the messenger was deputy AG James Cole. You can't very well find him in contempt of congress for something his boss's boss did.

I would think that the President using presidential powers would be the sort of thing you can't be impeached for.

It might go to SCOTUS, to get the Justice Dept./Administration to lawfully justify the Executive Priviledge.
