The thing I don't understand is why there are so many strange first names in politics.

I mean, what kind of idiot names their kid Mitt, or Newt, or Barack, for that matter!

Yup.

I am a Ron Paul supporter, through and through. I've done the research I've checked the facts, he seems to be the man that has Americas best interests at heart even if his ideologies are very traditional, which in all honest isn't bad a thing.

Traditional yet progressive, where is mitt romney is pretty the same as bush, maybe even a little worse, and Obama eh..all smoke and mirrors, with my tax dollars LOL

Well, you are wrong about one thing. Obama does not spend money like a drunken sailor. Drunken sailors spend their own money!

You mean this piece of trash you linked earlier expecting to be taken seriously? Fox News is not a reliable source. It's essentially an organ of the Republican party and unless it's some local report by a local branch, it tends to be tailored specifically to appeal to conservatives. It's infotainment, not a reliable source. But what really takes the cake is that it's an opinion piece. The person can lie all he wants; the network isn't going to check it for accuracy. And lie he did:
editorial wrote:President Obama keeps pushing for gun control. "I just want you to know that we are working on [gun control]. We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar,” President Obama told Sarah Brady, the former president of the Brady Campaign, this past spring.

Politifact wrote:In a mailer, the National Rifle Association says that "Obama admits he’s coming for our guns, telling Sarah Brady, ‘We are working on (gun control), but under the radar.’ "

We found no evidence of an Obama admission anything like the NRA suggests.

Lengthier explanation can be found here.

Whilst Fox News is God dammed awful,(I say that with a British accent by the way) the Cartoon News Network,(CNN) is little better. MSNBC, okish, but a lot of news channels don't really tell you anything.

CNN is a shit ton better if you don't watch the American TV version. The international one is pretty decent and the website is top notch.

No. NO. RT is not a reliable source. It's pretty much Putin's version of Fox News.

1.And Democracy Now! is far better.
2. RT is not comparable to Fox News, that's very much a generalised oversimplification and if you took this to its logical conclusion you would have to suggest that Alyona is a spy on behalf of Putin,(don't laugh now ;) ) Sounds like a good conspiracy theory to me. :p You clearly didn't read my latter comments to Milk.

Mitt's a middle name(although Willard is also a rather bizarre name), Newt is short for Newton, and Barack is a reasonably common African name.

The government would spend tax dollars regardless of whether or nota Democrat was in office. A Republican would simply spend them on the military instead of social welfare and education.

It is true. Reagan and the Bushes usually spent the tax money on military programs, intervetions, and wars. Carter, Clinton, and Obama more frequently spent it on heathcare, welfare, and education. Hell, tax-and-spend Clinton left us with a surplus which was spent by George Walker "Supposedly a Fiscal Conservative" Bush.

no. this seems wildly implausible. like, it would require all conservatives to be dupes or liars. but conservatives are the best people in the country - the real americans! clearly you just have your facts confused.

either that or they're all just not too bright, which is also more than slightly plausible.

So there are unintelligent liberals, yes, but that statement was directed at uber-far-right-conservative types.
