Romney has made it clear he'd be the submissive bitch of any right winger who so much as spoke up demanding something.
Might as well rename the country the United Subdivisions of Koch in that case.

Yeah, let's all read way too much into this perfectly legitimate and common public speaking practice...

If photos weren't viciously effective attacks then Dukakis and Kerry wouldn't have been shot down by their photo ops.

The fourth picture down with the staffer holding onto the chair could be potentially spun into an illustration of Romney's out-of-touch elitism, a vivid physical image of him standing on top of the lower classes.

We can either look at bullshit and go, "That's some serious bullshit," or we can look at bullshit and go, "OOOO! I want some of my own bullshit!"

I'm no more ready to accept 'but they do it too!' or 'they started it!' from people nominally on the same side as me than I am from those opposed to me.

Making hay out of the tank photo was bullshit. So was the para-sailing. As was trying to make something of Romney on a jet ski (shit, if you're rich and you don't have a jet ski that is a slap in the face of people who cannot afford jet skis everywhere).

I'm not about to adopt the notion that it's not bullshit when it's against someone I don't like. There are a shit ton of things that make Romney a bad choice as president, I don't want anyone to think for a second one of those is 'common public speaking quirk' and I don't care if Jimmy down the street totally did it first.

Stop being so condescending; it makes you look like you're resorting to childish tactics and I've seen you debate at a better level than that. The point is that maybe Ann Romney volunteered to stand up, maybe she she has some personal responsibility? Or how about the fact that even if Romney is an evil psycho who tortures his wife by chair-standing, it doesn't say anything for his policies. Now I AGREE that Romney is a sociopathic asshole with bad policies, but even I'm not desperate enough to pick apart something as dumb as this and analyze it politically.

Oh I just thought of an excellent line of attack for the Dems.

Say Romney's choosing of Ryan proves he's weak and spineless towards the Tea Party, and then ask, "If Mitt Romney can't stand up to his own party, how do we know he can stand up to threats from abroad?"

It might just work...

I've been thinking for a while now that Romney will lose by a landslide. Now that he's chosen Paul Ryan for VP, I'm sure. Even Newt Gingrich called his budget radical, he just changed his statement because radical Republicans cried about it.

The issue is that Ryan and Romney are opposites. Well, not really since Romney has no stand (keeps flip-flopping) so he can't be 'opposite' Ryan unless maybe Ryan flip-flops opposite of Romney, but the idea is that Ryan is a pacification choice.

Much like how Palin was picked by McCain to pacify far-right voters, Ryan was picked by Romney to appeal to the right-wing, which lately Romney's been pissing off with his constantly-changing opinions.

My prediction? Will only drive away any center-rights Romney's attracted, so it only makes Obama's victory margin even larger.
