Yeah, but I agree with his beliefs more than Romney's and Obama's.

Dr. Paul Krugman wrote:If government employment had grown as fast under Obama as it did under Bush, we’d have a million and a half more people employed right now — directly.

New Chalcedon wrote:Apparently, it's news to Republicans: there are less people employed in government than when Obama took office.
I'll quote Dr. Krugman on the relevant part of the interview, to show just how badly Republican obstruction has been hurting America:Dr. Paul Krugman wrote:If government employment had grown as fast under Obama as it did under Bush, we’d have a million and a half more people employed right now — directly.
Note that Krugman is explicitly not including any follow-one effects that would result from 1.5 million more salaries being circulated, 1.5 million people worth of demand being created....
Surely, to anyone interested in the facts, the verdict is in: The Republican Party, by deliberately obstructing President Obama for the sole sake of partisan gain, is the single biggest reason the economy has not recovered fully.
Which is why this is so, so very appropriate. Indeed, the entire Republican Party - from RNC Chief Michael Steele (later Reince Priebus) down - has so consistently acted in such a childish fashion since Obama's inauguration, and had so thoroughly abandoned all conservative principle prior to that, that they need to have their toys taken away from them like any other spoilt child. Because their "toys" aren't "toys". They're people, and the GOP's casual cruelty - like a kid destroying his toys so he doesn't have to share them - is hurting real people, not bits of plastic and plush cushioning.
The obstreporous, lying, totalitarian ("Our way or nothing!"), generally selfish and rude behaviour would be annoying in a kid. In politicians, it's damned close to treason.

I mainly agree on Ron Paul's views on abortion, currency, and civil rights
So no abortion, gold coins and perpetual deflation and no civil rights? Fair enough.
Also, don't know if you've heard - but Ron Paul's not going to be on the ballot. The Libertarian candidate for President is former Governor Gary Johnson (R-NM), who dropped out of the Republican primaries once it was clear how batshit that particular circus was. Or if he's not right-wing enough for you, there's Constitution Party candidate Virgil Goode, a former Congressman from Virginia (Democratic, then Independent, then Republican).
Voting for either of those may mean something: if nothing else, it will show an increased level of support for their principles, which you claim to share. Voting for Ron Paul? That's like voting for Mickey Mouse.

He'd held his earlier position too long. He had to flip flop eventually, again.

Ron Paul wrote:The Civil Rights Act of 1964 gave the federal government unprecedented power over the hiring, employee relations, and customer service practices of every business in the country. The result was a massive violation of the rights of private property and contract, which are the bedrocks of free society. The federal government has no legitimate authority to infringe on the rights of private property owners to use their property as they please and to form (or not form) contracts with terms mutually agreeable to all parties. The rights of all private property owners, even those whose actions decent people find abhorrent, must be respected if we are to maintain a free society.
