Not really. I've seen a lot of things that made me lose my faith in humanity (anti-gay laws everywhere, nerve-stapling citizens, "being gay isn't a choice, that's why we kill gays; "if we outlaw prostitution people won't have sex").

The poll in this thread and the poll in the McCarthy thread (majority voted he was an asshole) are somewhat relieving to me.

So, apparently Romney's message required "simplification."

Romney unveils simplified campaign message

So first we had a campaign message that was notoriously light on any specifics, and now they've simplified it further?

The best part? It's still just the exact same conservative talking points we've been hearing like a broken record: kill regulations on coal, oil, natgas, cut taxes on the wealthy while eliminating tax breaks (but not saying which breaks. remember: "simplified"), etc etc.

Apparently Republican strategists/Romney thought that the problem was that we just didn't understand Romney's plan...

And people were already attacking Romney's platform because it lacked specifics...
“It is the ultimate irony of history that radical individualism serves as the ideological justification of the unconstrained power of what the large majority of individuals experience as a vast anonymous power, which, without any democratic public control, regulates their lives.”

I guess Romney thinks we're so stupid if he 'simplifies' his plan we'll vote for him. So it's a stealth insult.

Nice job, Mr. Romney.

Nice job, Mr. Romney.

he said months ago that he wasnt going to give the details of his plans because if we knew we wouldnt vote for him. the justification of not releasing more taxes is that if we saw them we wouldnt vote for him (because we little people cant understand rich men's taxes)

i dont see why anyone would vote for him.

He showed his birth certificate. They showed it on all major news channels including Fox News. Also, many other independant organizations like factcheck.org had people go and investigate the actual certificate, and they vouch for its authenticity.

Obama is not a facist because facism is actually an extreme of the right wing, not the left. If you are saying he is too republican to be President, then I agree.

Also, Obama has spent his life helping people (community organizer). Mitt Romney has spent his life making money and getting power by screwing people. He would be the one to screw us and take all the jobs.

Alright time for the usual anti Obama pro Romney post.

Obama will bury the nation in debt, reckless spending is bad, the stimulus gave lots of money to foreign nations, Obamacare is unconstituational and bad for the economy, Romney will lower the debt and create jobs, Romney will protect the US from terrorists, Romney is a good candidate.

The Republicans are utopians these days.[sarcasm] "Heh. Just get the government out of the economy and everything will be dandy". "Oh, and we're going to impose our moral values on everyone, to stop the sinners who are cursing our nation". [/sarcasm] Obama is way more pragmatic.

 Obamacare was upheld by the Supreme Court. The president does not magically create jobs out of nowhere. Also, Obama does protect the US from terrorists. He didn't repeal Bush-era anti-terrorism laws.
