For me, it must have berries in it. I rather like blackberries, so that's always an epic win. Of course, apple pie with the nifty crumbly cinnamon sugar bits on top and too much caramel is also a win.

If combining berries, it should be sweet and tangy. Blackberries would work nicely with baby blue berries. Mmmmm... Berries are always a good choice. Apple with cinnamon is also made of win. You've got good tastes.

I find that the smaller ones tend to have more flavour and when in season, much sweeter than the adult or rather, larger blueberries, which are more readily available.

I'm more of a crumble man myself, but a good apple and blackcurrant pie with a generous dollop of vanilla ice cream doesn't go amiss. As for the savoury selection, I'd like to represent for that health-concious promoter of Scottish stereotypes, the macaroni pie.

Cheesecake is one of my all time favorites, and real key line cheese cake sounds awesome. But on the whole I am not a big pie eater, as most of the time I find the crust abysmal. I know it's hard to do a good 'traditional' crust, but so few even seem to take the time to try and do it right.

Cheesecake isn't a pie, is it? I've always considered it a cake, myself.

I'd have to go with good old apple pie.

I consider Cheesecake a pie, as every recipe I have - and I have seceral hundred - asll call for little to no flour, When cut open even the densest, most traditional baked cheesecake looks very little like a cake's interior, and all most all recepies have a crust.

I have a recipe for a Chambord cheesecake that is just heavenly. I'll post it up in the recipe thread.
