Your Favorite Pie.

Postby King Arthur the Great » Sat May 02, 2009 3:27 pm

Right, so in my "Last 'First (Insert Your Topcic) Thread,'" I made a comment about pie, claiming that the combination of cookie-dough ice-cream with key lime pie would create the ultimate in desert.

As a sometime resident of that cesspool and swamp called South Florida, I have been exposed to truly delicious key lime pie. I have also discovered an obscure restaurant (can't remember the name for the life of me) that made a key lime pie cheesecake. Yes, Key Lime Pie Cheesecake. It is delicious-ness incarnate.

So, members of the New NSG Beta Forum, what is your favorite existing pie or pie-incorporated dish?

Cheesecake is one of my all time favorites, and real key line cheese cake sounds awesome. But on the whole I am not a big pie eater, as most of the time I find the crust abysmal. I know it's hard to do a good 'traditional' crust, but so few even seem to take the time to try and do it right.

Cheesecake isn't a pie, is it? I've always considered it a cake, myself.

I'd have to go with good old apple pie.

For me, it must have berries in it. I rather like blackberries, so that's always an epic win. Of course, apple pie with the nifty crumbly cinnamon sugar bits on top and too much caramel is also a win.

If combining berries, it should be sweet and tangy. Blackberries would work nicely with baby blue berries. Mmmmm... 8-) Berries are always a good choice. Apple with cinnamon is also made of win. You've got good tastes.
