It's not a matter of 'free' but how we manage those costs.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

Healthcare should be public, yes. It should be a basic human right.

Well here in Denmark healthcare has been pretty much public for a long time...

There shouldn't be an industry to profit off the misery of others. Healthcare should be a basic right.

Healthcare should be given to the homeless for free and everyone else should pay. If you can afford a house, you can afford your own healthcare insurance.

How will the homeless ever become "not homeless" and self-sufficient if we give them everything for free?

Might as well all go homeless. Now you have people trying to screw over the system and dragging down the country they live in with their idiocy. Healthcare for free is a nice thing. But it needs to be planned out, and that is one thing politicians are notoriously bad at.

So if you have a heart attack, you don't have the right to get immediate treatment?
