To be fair it does have a flavor all its own; its not something I consider seasonal though.
Summertime is the time for grilling and open flame cooking in my family, also lots of salads and melons.

Last year we had one shoot a Holstein. They thought it was a deer. During the day. In an open field.
Several years ago, when I was still living in Japan, my brother had a couple of black and white hogs on his little farm. I snapped a couple of photos of various farm animals to show friends and students back in Japan. If I didn't tell them, many people assumed the hogs were cattle. Pigs are all pink, dontcha know...
