Well they are all uppity about it and trying their best to repeal it - but the way Iowa's constitution is designed, as I understand, it would take until 2016 or so to undo the state supreme court's decision. By that time it will be impossible as a majority of Iowans will support marriage equality (right now it about evenly split, with support increasing at a considerable pace). I imagine by then the US and the World will also have shifted in terms of LGBT rights: With several more countries and U.S states having legalized same-sex marriage, and the US Supreme Court having struck down DOMA, etc (right now US federal courts are literally lining up to burn DOMA - which denies federal recognition to same-sex marriages - recently it seems like every week a US federal district court or circuit court strikes it down).
