Some of the games this year look really good to me. Of the ones I've seen so far:
The Last of Us. The gameplay of the game looks really good. The AI on Ellie seems to be really good, and she is actually useful within the story. The AI in general looks good.
Beyond: Two Souls. Don't know much about it, but looks potentially interesting. Instead of like Ellie, who looks and kinda sounds like Ellen Page (but isn't), this game actually HAS Ellen Page in it, as the main character it seems.
Assassin's Creed 3: Despite the fact a lot of people don't like the concept of the choice of location this game went, I think it looks awesome.
Watch Dogs: The concept looks awesome, and the game itself looks really awesome too.
Dishonored: The atmosphere of this game looks really cool.

There are a lot of games I still look forward to....I can't even name them all on the top of my head. There was a lot that came out that looked good last year too. I need money....

I can't believe they're finally making a new actual SimCity. I'm so excited!

Fallout, Deus Ex, Civilization, and System Shock are franchises I really care about to know all about every nook and cranny of them, and I especially enjoy Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, and how they put all that detail into the infolinks and the personalities of the faction leaders.

Plus, Deirdre's got a network node! Likes to flick the on/off switch! Dig that crazy Gaian witch! :D

The Cybernetic Consciousness is the best faction of them all~

All the factions are pretty solid in their own way.

The Total War games are solid as well, but Rome Total War and Medieval II stand out the most from that franchise for me and are two of my favorite games in general. :D

I honestly hope all these non-sequels do well, like Watch Dogs, The Last of Us, Dishonored , Beyond: Two Souls, and Sleeping Dogs (despite it's sequelish?), because it will hopefully show developers that you don't HAVE to make freaking sequels over and over again to keep getting good sales. Based on how popular The Last of Us, Dishonored, and Watch Dogs seems to be becoming, I'm hoping for the best.

Microsoft's Press Conference SUCKED. They didn't have any good games to show. So to save their ego, they showed a bunch of Xbox features that no one will use.

I've never been a fan of the Halo or Assassin's Creed franchises but those two games look amazing. I really like the Watch Dog's video as well. I'm not much of a gamer but I think I'll have to give those games a chance.

Huge Alpha Centauri fan here...I really enjoy the game due to one being able to create customised units...would love to see an updated version with a slightly better AI and a more sophisticated diplomacy system.

Off the OP list..only game that interests me is Farcry...the rest not so much....oh Forza as well ...

I am so disappointed in Simcity. The concept itself is amazing, but the multiplayer and the extremely cartoonish graphics just ruined the whole thing for me. I really wish that they make it at least a bit more realistic.

It could be executed better, I'll give you that.

Mind you, placing a bunch of cartoon buildings then seeing which lasts longest under a combined godzilla attack/earthquake/meteor shower is fun.

Maxis has always had a penchant for the cartoony. It's not a bad thing in my opinion and I'm just happy that Societies hasn't managed to kill the franchise after all.

Yeah, I had nothing against UFO's or giant robots in Simcity 4, as they were done pretty well. Not sure about the new Simcity though.

Simcity reminds me of Simcity Societies way too much. The buildings look like lifeless toys and the people look like small dolls. It looks like some kind of playset for little kids. I usually have nothing against cartoony graphics, but this time Maxis went too far.

I don't know what's wrong with Simcity Societies....(except maybe the lack of distasters). I enjoyed it. Haven't played it much due to lag, though.

I suggest you don't buy it if you are afraid to waste your money. Easy solution. Wait until you get opinions first. That's what I do. Even then, I only take peoples opinions with a grain of salt.

On a slightly more positive note, Watch Dogs really looks nice. But since it's an Ubisoft game, we can expect that it'll be riddled with bullshit DRM. Internet connection required for single player and so on -.-'

No love for Dishonoured?

Also, what the hell happened to Elder Scrolls MMO? It was supposed to be discussed at E3.
