The definition of a person, and subsequently personhood is not just two things which share the same genetic material, similar to how a tumor isn't a person but shares the same genetic material.

There are about 115 thousand children that will go unadopted this year in the USA alone. That number is rising. You want to add to that? Already 20% of children will remain in the system for more than 5 years. Being stuck in the system is not a good life.
