How would the World react?
Obviously the world would unite to fight off the aliens, but how would they fight them off? What tactics would they use against an unknown enemy?
How would nations like Iran and Israel co-exist with each other to take out a common enemy?
Which country would make the most difference in military operations? Who would lead the coalition against the aliens?
How would the aliens attack? Would they have gunpower? What would they want from Earth?(Slavery, resources, etc.)
Would you join a resistance movement against the alien invaders?
How much of Earth would the aliens take over?
This is not what you THINK would happen, its kind of like a "create your own."
There are endless questions, but those are just a few.
In my opinion:
Reaction:
Declare international emergency. Mobilize troops and fight off the invaders as soon as possible. Rush civilians to safe areas.
Tactics:
Defend mostly. Find their weaknesses. Discover what they invaded Earth for. Launch counter-attacks when the time is right.
Enemies co-existing:
They would simply ignore each other.
Military:
I think China and the U.S/NATO would make the largest impact. China has swarms of troops and the U.S. and NATO have massive numbers in their combined armies. US or UN would probably lead the coalition.
Aliens Strategy:
Attack in massive numbers. Learn our weaknesses. Eliminate major cities. They would have guns, but guns that do not shoot bullets. Some sort of different material. They would want Earth's water and manpower.
Resistance:
It would be almost inevitable to join the fight against aliens.
Aliens would take most poor countries and parts of western countries.
