Yes, the USA would win. Get real for a second and snap back into reality. I don't care how anti-USA you are (I am as well), but you HAVE to give them credit for having the strongest military. The USN can alone take on most of the world. Who the hell can stand up to 11 aircraft carriers with a few more in production?

Anywhere with any kind of strategic importance to anyone is going to be hotly contested. If not for trade routes, then for oil, in the case of the Middle East.

Iran. I dislike their values and country but if we have the right to have nukes they should also. We need to respect other nations' sovereignty. If Iran uses their nuke than we should punish them. They have reason to worry. If the USA invades Iraq without just cause than why should our words matter. Iran might worry about the USA invading them. After Iraq the USA is no longer "a good guy." You guess wrong. I didn't say we should attack them. I suppose I should have been more clear. We should do everything we can diplomatically to keep Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. As for being able to defend themselves, who is going to attack them? Iraq is not capable of doing so. Iran has considerable influence in Iraq now, thanks to the US's misguided actions. Afghanistan? Yeah, right. The Saudis? I doubt it.

And yes, sorry, the US has a perfect right to tell people what to do. People from other countries are constantly telling us what we should be doing within our borders. It's practically the national pastime here.
