This all might be true, but the Persian people are not afraid. I wasn't trying to say that Iran could ever win in a war against the United States and Israel (although they could if Russia and China pulled through....) but I was trying to say how Persians are not afraid of others.

Russia and China wouldn't help. To be quite honest, nuclear weapons are the single greatest threat to Iranian national sovereignty. You all have experienced war before yet I have a strange feeling that the Iranian leadership does not truly understand why the US is actually opposed to them having nuclear weapons. It's not that the US is worried they won't be able to invade Iran if Iran gets weapons. And it's not proliferation either (we know that Iran isn't stupid enough to give weapons to Hezbollah or Hamas).

If Iran gets nukes, then the rest of the middle east is going to want nukes. I don't know about you, but the idea of a nuclear-armed Saudi Arabia is a fuckton scarier than the idea of a nuclear Iran.

If the nation is turned to ashes, you would be giving the Palestinians back ashes. Why would they want them then?

Why in the Hell would I support a genocidal theocracy based off of eliminating everyone of a different religion? Atleast Israel doesnt want to genocide people based off of religion. Israel has my support.

If there is no agreement between the two, how then, is it being violated?

Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are sectarianist American puppets. I would not even be surprised if they fought along with Israel.

And just because they have different religious beliefs to you makes them evil? Saudi Arabia will probably strike Iran first for whatever reasons it has.

Yes, I saw. One side with an army with great technological equipments and one side with armies with camels. Well, even my father could beat San Marino, Liechtenstein, Andorra, Papue New Guinea and Madagasar united. What a great show-off of power.

Considering most of the Arab armour and equipment was also modern, it was a great show of power. The Arabs didn't know how to use it properly. Israel did and that is why they will win.

And extreme religious/white western nationalism makes you ignore the fact that Israel is a bloody terrorist state.

Yeah, I'm agnostic and not a white nationalist. Because there is no single "white nation" and even if there were, I still wouldn't support it.

They're obtaining weapons out of the belief that it will guarantee their safety from foreign invasion, not because they want to start a war with Israel or exterminate Jews.

Exactly what elements of the Iranian military were involved in the Yom Kippur War?

Saudi Arabia has more power than Iran does. Kuwait has more power than Iran does. The Iranian military is equipped with mostly outdated equipment and is inept as a fighting force. We're talking about a country that used infantry wave tactics in the 1980's.

So why, and this was even before the issue of nuclear power came up, is the rest of the Middle East so bed wetting terrified of Iran, if even Kuwait is more powerful? Iran is technologically inferior yes, but they do not suffer from nearly the same level of endemic ineptitude that has allowed Israel to stomp numerically superior Arab armies so often.

Yes, Iran used infantry wave tactics in the 80's, and managed to hold out for 9 years against an enemy that by the end of the war had nearly 5 times the number of tanks, aircraft and artillery, and the support of multiple major western powers. I'm not sure what your definition of 'inept' is, but the more common one wouldn't seem to apply.

You really haven't seen what happened in 1967 and 1973 have you? Israel is more the capable of taking on Iran.

If they shared a border and Iran invaded, maybe. The Israeli Defense Force is very good at what it does, defending Israel. It in no way, shape or form has the capability to conduct an extended war (and necessary occupation), of a nation 1000 miles away across territory where their welcome is questionable at best.

Ok how about this.

You live in an urban center like Manhattan etc., have for all your life. Your parents lived their, your grandparents lived their, their parents lived their etc. Yet some separatist group in the suburbs suddenly decides they don't like you living there no more. They start firing missiles into your neighborhood. Maybe they kill a few kids on the way to school, and old couple out for a walk.... How does that strike you as a resistance? Its terrorism. Israel has every right to defend against terrorist that threaten its national; security.

Israel exists because the UN passed a declaration declaring their right to exist. What about that don't you understand, why is it necessary to wipe it off the map?

If I knew the answer I would be able to tell you but it is more to do with the various royal families wanting to cling onto power.

Yes, Iran used infantry wave tactics in the 80's, and managed to hold out for 9 years against an enemy that by the end of the war had nearly 5 times the number of tanks, aircraft and artillery, and the support of multiple major western powers. They were fighting against Iraq, the country which cut loose and ran when the Coalition appeared on the horizon in 1991. If Iran couldn't defeat them, what makes you think that Iran could defeat Israel?

Neither does Iran. But I wasn't hinting at an occupation, rather a simple strike or air defence engagement.

I feel your sentiments. There's really no good-guys on either side. And for that matter, aren't they separated by 1000 miles?
