We need to destroy technology

Okay, I saw threads like these in other boards. Who's with me on setting out to destroy this technology (particularly the very recent and fancy things) and saving capitalism for generations to come. Another reason is, for example I feel bad for the generation that wouldn't know what a 'video store' is.

You come near my technology, you little Luddite, and you'll be grounded for the rest of your life. Don't you have homework to do?

How un-capitalist an idea.

Didn't we move from destroying steam machines back in the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution?

Well, he does have a point. If you tear it all down, lots of people can get rich building it back up again.

Sure.... you should of been born much earlier if you want to do that.

What's a video store?

Alright, I'll admit the bright sides of the technology in today's society. But especially today, it has an extremely morbid dark side, and that's where I tend to lean in my opinion on this whole matter.

Marx would say it's great idea to preserve private control of production.

And what's that "morbid dark side"?

Yes, but to ban technology would probably require government intervention, and building it back up will likely require government contractors.

If you must destroy progress to preserve something, you should stop and think about whether what you're preserving is worth it.

So backwards what we need is to get more into space, humanity must expand into new frontiers for survival!

Wasn't that a goth band from the late 90s?

What 'extremely morbid dark side'?

Also, do you make kvlt EPs?

Good idea. Let's start with PCs, phones, and web connected devices.

You go first.

What's the point of destroying it? We already have the knowledge that this type of technology exists, and we've become accustomed to it being a part of our lives. People are not going to sit back and let it be destroyed for the sake of preserving something that could be considered obsolete.

I'll answer that question...film photographers who still appreciate the format will need to go cold-turkey digital, for instance. That's not the main point, though. It has been slowly destroying society in certain extents that I can't even tell you. "But anyone has to be so stupid to hate modern technology" yadda yadda yadda.

That's because video stores are awful hellholes and their deaths please me.

Anyways...

If we destroy it, can we replace it with robots and laser guns? No? Well then, no, you may not destroy my computer.

Then why bring the point up if you can't/won't illustrate it?

Yep, and send all our medical advances along with getting rid of technology  :palm:

If technology wasn't around, I most likely wouldn't have survived past the first three weeks after my birth. Same goes with a lot of NSers and people in general.

It's broad and complicated to me.

Not a problem. I'll fight against it.
