I am glad I went to elementary school a decade ago in the US, before most of this PC nonsense took too much hold. Back then in our Catholic school we had one kid with a jewish father, and we were playing soldier on the schoolyard. One of the other kids said, that because I was German and fighting as the Germans, I had to take the jewish kid prisoner. Meaning I held onto his arm the whole time during the game.

When the teacher inquired as to why I was holding onto the kids arm the whole time. The kid said because he was jewish, he was the prisoner of me. The teach was horrified. But no parents or suspension. All we had, was a quick walk to the principals. Where we had a quick talk about how it was inappropriate due to historical sensitivities, and we should probably play something else. Then we both got a piece of candy and went back to play some tag instead. No harm, no foul, no anything.
