When did you choose to be straight?

I do not understand the idea that homosexuals choose to be so.
It is an idea that many seem to have, particularly on NS, but also in the news.
I am personally straight, but I never made a concious decision to be. As such I think that the idea that people choose is a ridiculous one.
So, my question is, why do people think it is a choice, and, if you think people choose to be gay, when did you choose to be straight?

I expect people believe that homosexuality is a choice because that justifies their judgement of gays as immoral sinners.

I suppose the argument would be that whilst being straight is the natural default setting for humans there are many who choose to go against this.

I've seen homosexual animals. Does that mean they chose too?

Because i honestly don't remember 'choosing'. It's something natural, as hard as it is for you religious people to think. So unless you have good solid evidence it's a choice, then... Well, simply put,

You'll never find good enough evidence.

Some people do choose, sure!

But to me, they aren't really ''Homosexual". But that's my opinion

And a majority of us didn't choose. It just felt natural.

So i say again, Come up with a very good reason why it's a choice, and we can have a nice little chat about it. I'm not one to constrict opinion, but I'm also not one to sit here and let people believe something that only applies to a minority of a minority.

Oh, and i keep seeing these threads... Seems like NS likes to talk about gay people, eh?

I never choose my gender orientation. I guess it's just my natural instinct and nature.

I just know for myself that I'll never be attracted to a fellow female, never even did I thought about it for a second.
