I went to the Apple site, and learned five steps to reset my iPod, after deleting files I thought may have had to do with the corruption.

1.) Toggle the Hold switch.
2.) Hold "Menu" and "Select" at the same time for 6-10 seconds. (May need to be done on flat surface)
3.) Plug in iPod to a different USB port, not on your keyboard, or at least different from the one you normally use.
4.) Close iTunes, if open and restart your computer
5.) Sync iPod
