They think thats bad? My brother killed a rabbit in our yard with a bow once. Got it through the leg pinning it to ground. Second arrow through head killed it. Then used the two arrows to control it like a puppet. Funniest use of an animal carcass I've seen yet.

I don't remember saying it was bad. Also, killing with an arrow is a waste of energy when grabbing it by the nape of the neck and twisting the spine does a much cleaner job.

Especially with those that have high hearing and are easily spooked. It also helps with big sunbathing fish, like gar and tuna.

I use that for diving off wrecks. Good for snapper, grouper, and amberjack. Sometimes even get a few small sharks come by, but I don't usually kill them. I've only done so twice, and both were blacktips. They're hard to clean and skin... And the flesh detiorates quickly unless stored properly. They're rather unuseful.

You said they got angry. Thus they probably thought it was bad thing. As for energy, it doesn't matter much. and saves the trouble of finding the pellet gun or sneaking up on the rabbit with a knife or fist.

Archery and close quarters are my preferred area's of offensive/defensive capabilities. However, walking up to rabbit, snatching it by the neck, and twisting its neck is very, very simple.
