So lie. No real point in it anyway.

Are our cells all at least initially eukariotic? Do we ingest and digest living material?

If you know what the definition of animal is, you know we are one. It's not a matter of opinion.

Actually it is, as it is part of language. Not a determinable fact.

Scientific definitions are quite precise, and the meaning of the word animal is empirically produced. You are wrong, sir.

As a consensus among the various involved disciplines, it has been adopted that the point of robotics is Daryl Hannah class sex-bots.

Not really. We could just as easily call it something else.

Scientists have a long standing tradition of making their language as confusing and unintuitive as possible.

Are dodecapoidians animals?

Like, if Amy walks up to Zoidberg and says "I want to f*#% you like an animal" and he says,"....okay, but...how else can you do it?"

What part of "empirically produced" do you not understand?

Look, if you want to take the scientific definition of the word "animal" and insert another word, you can. Just as if you want to start calling stars "pressure cookers" you can. They will, however, still be stars. They will have all the characteristics of a star, they will still look like stars, they will behave as stars, they will be stars. You can call the kingdom animalia anything you like, but the clade will still exist, and we will still be included in it.

And Scientists you very precise language for the exact reason that they do not wish to be misunderstood. If you don't understand what they are saying, perhaps you should take the time to become scientifically literate.

That is the Classical definition of Science, how Scientists ought to behave, but how they do behave in the age of Political Correctness is a different thing altogether.

PC "Scientists" have defined "berry" and "henge" and "tapestry" and "planet" with spiritual definitions that mean the square root of bugger all.

The meter is defined as 299,800 kilometers per second = c because Robespierre got his sums wrong in 1789 AD, fair enough, back in those days their measureometers weren't as good as modern measureometers. Likewise, Jesus was born in 4 BC because Dionysus Exiguus got his sums wrong in 325 AD.

Proper Science would apply the correct numbers. Neil de grasse Tyson insists that we must use these wrong numbers.

Humans are animals.

So it must be false because it's confusing and unintuitive.

If you want to use your own definitions, fine. No one can stop you. However, you will cause more miscommunication and it'll be harder to get your points across.

Or in other words, you will have the charisma of a potato.
