[quote="Dokuritsu Nippon";p="9180841"Really, it seems rather absurd that Western nations, with so much larger GDP per capitas, and thus the means of actually improving the conditions for their people, don't give enough of a shit about their own citizens to actually improve their conditions, and yet claim moral superiority over nations that strive for the same with so many fewer resources to work with.

I would rather live in a country where the government doesn't give me everything and lets me do whatever the heck I want, than in a country where the government provides me everything and only lets me do things on their approved list.[/quote]

I have to agree with that statement to some degree, to me what I think is necessary and should be provided by the government is, Housing, Food, Water, Electricity, and Healthcare. Other than that, you want it, you need to work for it. I call those the 5 necessities.

I have been there, thank you very much. A terrible, terrible place, showing just how absolutely barbaric fascism (capitalism in decay) can be. It actually was a partial epiphany moment, in the face of such unabated evil, that I realized this horrid imperialist system, in all its manifestations, must be opposed at any costs. I actually broke down and cried there, wished I could travel back in time, and slaughter each and ever member of the SS, SA, Nazi Party, everyone. I was an atheist, but I wished in that moment that Christianity was true, just so Hitler could be suffering forever for the great evil he caused. It was only there, facing it, that I realized on more than a mere intellectual level, how evil and detestable the capitalist system is. Even writing now, I'm furious, depressed. So many emotions at once. I've tried to channel them for good.

And, particularly as someone with a number of close Jewish relatives, who'd probably be considered a "Mischling" under that detestable regime, I find it extremely offensive that you'd even for a second think to compare this monstrosity, absolute barbarity to a nation fighting AGAINST the capitalist imperialist system that caused it. It's highly offensive to each and every one of the innocent men and women killed in that terrible place, and everyone today in the DPRK and abroad who draws breath to fight against that same, evil system today.

If you suggest such an offensive thing again, I'm afraid I'll have to contact the moderators. I'm not normally one to call them in over minor matters of disagreement, but the connotations of this are extremely offensive, particularly to one of my family background. Don't ever make light of that by comparing it to mere prisons in another nation that you simply dislike for political reasons.

That you're using something as fucking awful as the Holocaust to further your ideological nonsense is utterly sick.

I can see VERY clearly in your language that you didn't see Dachau as a monument to human cruelty and sickness, you saw it as a new way to criticize any government/political structure that you don't happen to like. You went there looking for new debate tactics, not to remember the innocent people who were murdered there.

People like you are why people like me are Fascists.

The DPRK is the single most evil government in existence at the moment, and Iran's a close second. There is no argument. The DPRK has single-handedly proven how malleable humans can be when they're bred to be nothing but propaganda-spewing workers for the Kim dynasty's delusions of grandeur.

I'm going into military intelligence for the US Marine Corps in a few months. I, for one, would be proud if I was part of the force that finally exterminated the North Korean government and brought them to face the consequences of their atrocities.

Ah the North Korean propaganda machine never cease to amaze me actually it doesn't, they tried propaganda villages and those annoying load speakers that vomit out lies all the time, anyone on this tread read animal farm or 1984 their are great examples of extreme authoritarian governments, for example the law that was made by the pigs in animal farm (Book) made a law stated that "all animals are equal but some are more equal than others." this can be related toward so called socialist counties like China after the revolution, or U.S.S.R. under Stalin, theses are not socialist counties theses were country under the command of tyrants who only want everything for themselves, 1984 is a good example as well showing how a western country could become a authoritarian, and the length of such government could go to force men to become only shells of men. North Korea is very much like the worlds of theses books, the so called government tells lies to its people saying their dearest leader commands the weather, and the government restricts the peoples knowledge and most of then don't even know a man landed on the moon, and that America invaded first in June 25, 1950 and them as the knights in armor. :eyebrow:

Damn, I assumed from the title that this was going to be an interesting debate on the quality of western moral traditions versus those found in the rest of the world. Unfortunately, it appears its just another hive of trolls and 12 year old state socialists who just heard of communism for the first time.

Your video could have possibly been a valid point, were it not for the fact that I speak ENGRISH. And I would infinitely prefer living in a glorious western nation like the U.K or the U.S to living in the oppressive communist craphole that is North Korea. Maybe if you stopped wasting pretty much your entire GRP on sucking total ass on rocketry that the "morally inferior" nations figured out decades ago, and focused on actually feeding people and making North Korea even slightly comparable to the ridiculously superior South Korea, then we can have another nice little chat.

Nice thought on paper. But here's the flaw: How do you guarantee that the government doesn't give people who vote against it shitty houses? Or cut off their water and electricity, and neglect to give them their ration cards? Essentially, with all that stuff in the hands of the government, how do you prevent them from abusing their power?
