Depends if the US can put together an anti-Chinese containment alliance. If yes, probably a mixture of Taiwan, the Philippines and Vietnam. If no, probably China. Both scenarios include the possibility of large-scale armed conflict between the United States and China and their respective allies. Hence the "probably" as nuclear holocaust would render territorial disputes irrelevant.

Whoever has necessary force in South China Sea to enforce its claim. That will be China, then.

I am pretty sure the population of the entire region barely hits double digits, so an independent country is unfeasible.

I'd say we nuke the entire area from orbit. Just to remove the potential for conflict.

Wait...

Conflict => selling lots of weapons => profit. Nah, forget about nuking.

Filipinos

Postby DassaultRafale » Sun Apr 29, 2012 11:52 pm

Bias as it may seem since I am a filipino, but the Kalayaan Island Group, Recto Bank and the Scarborough belong to the Philippines and Paracels to Vietnam; that is by virtue of international laws. China's history shizz is the same as saying Mongolia, Italy, Spain and France should be way bigger than they are now. China's mentality will bring us back to the age of colonialism.
