What's good and evil isn't concrete. It's what I say it is. That may sound crass but it's true, my denizens just got out of a torturous civil war and they just want some form of stability that is sustainable; they have no triffles about what that might encompass. Now this makes it sound like I'm harsh on them when I'm really not, they enjoy many fruitful freedoms in their day to day lives. They can smoke pot (which conversely is good for our struggling economy), they can walk around naked, own guns, etc. But we have absolutely no tolerance for synthetic drugs. Simply having so much as a crack rock makes you liable to be shot on the spot. That's about the harshest I really am to them.

There is no good or evil, objectively...there is only sane or insane.

Subjectively, all sane people(s) tend to think that their actions are justified and that what they are doing is good. Those who admittedly do evil first set themselves a judgment that the evil they are doing is worth the consequence do to whatever reason they have, whether internal or external.
Only someone obviously psychotic would do evil for the sake of doing evil.
