YTPMVs

I think I did a topic on YTP (youtube poop) a while back, but I figured this time I'd talk about a specific subgenre; YTPMV. (Youtube poop music videos.) Basically, this does things similar to those in YTPs, often involving the same characters or games/cartoons parodied in them too, though not always. Like with You Can't Touch Mormon Jesus, (I think it was originally igiulamam's video but he/she had since been banned) the cartoon it's supposedly parodying doesn't seem to be much of a prominent YTP target, whereas other YTPMVs parody what tend to be the most prominent YTP targets anyway, like with Tomorrow I'll (I think that one was originally by igiulamam as well) which parodies Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.

So what do people here think of YTPMVs?

Actually, I replaced the "We're Off" one with "Tomorrow I'll" which was supposedly made by the same person who did the "Mormon Jesus" one. But yeah, YTP in general tends to be low-quality by its very nature; and with "We're Off" and other YTPs of Zelda CDi games, they're parodying something that was already low-quality to begin with.

Which is true. YTP is mostly uncreative, immature garbage. Sure, the first time you hear some random character say something like "Fuck you" it can be amusing, but there's only so much "I HAVE OVER 9000 ELECTROMAGNETIC FALCON PUNCH BALLS" you can take before it stops being amusing at all.

I'm honestly amazed stuff of that nature is still being made.

Really, I think this is one of the few good YTP's made. Like all of them, it has very little thought put into it, but this just seems to be better made than many.

So what do people here think of YTPMVs?

I remember learning in my engineering writing class (English focused on report writing, etc) that an acronym that is not commonly used must be introduced in full form before being allowed to appear alone in a paragraph.

For instance, if I made an acronym for 'men who like ponies', I'd have to introduce it like this:

"An organization has come to the front of the issue that call themselves the Men Who Like Ponies (MWLP). The MWLP is dedicated to..."

I mention this only because you're saying things like AoStH...and I have no clue what that even stands for...

So yeah...glossary for the first post, please?

You say that as if those are the only kinds of YTP there are. Yeah, most YTPs seem to fall into those two categories, but some manage to make funny stories out of sentence mixing and really play with context. Such as The King Has Drug Problems, for example. I like the way it puts the "this'll make a great omlette" line right after the reference to the "brain on drugs" PSA.

That too. I've seen "Hyrule Dating Videos" and "The King's Unreasonable Demands" as well, and it seems that SwishFilmsInc tends to emphasize sentence mixing.

By the way, here's someone else that's kinda weird/entertaining/funny. He has this contest where he has people use the various versions of RPGmaker to make the crappiest/weirdest games they possibly can, and he reviews them. His reactions are rather entertaining, and it's quite interesting to see just how bad/bizarre these games can be.

I doubt it's the only YTP that references Bel-Air, though I can't think of any other examples right now... is that what people like so much about it? Because I don't find it near as funny as a lot of the ones from SwishFilmsInc or mark3611.
