Well, that is what I wanted to say. That is why the hungarian part of the monarchy was primarly agrucultural while the Austrian was industrial.

If EU membership was offered to Russia right now, it most likely would be shot down. It would lack the public support needed (most polls I've seen show support for the idea of joining at around 40%), nor politicians support it, especially those of the opposition groups. It's not a good idea anyway to go behind something that doesn't how major support, you tend to lose elections that way. Besides, Russia is already in the Customs Union and with the goal of having the Eurasian Union up and running in a few years.

Well, I agree with you about Russia. The country is large enough to be an economic superpower and therefore they dont need the EU at all. I was refering to countries like Belarus or the Ukraine where the people might have a good opinion about the EU.

You cannot do against the peoples will.

My problem is with how you worded it. Its nice to hear your opinion though.

So, you dont agree that the East europeans love the EU?

I have doubts that Belarus would have better polling results in the idea to join right now. Actually it may be worse, due to Belarus and the EU butting heads more so than Russia Federation and the EU. Belarus is also already a Customs Union member and working to help create the Eurasian Union. It also is much, much, more economically tied to Russia. Not just in regular trade, but Belarus enjoys great discounts and loans from Russia. Ukraine, I think you would see good results to the idea, in parts of it. As with other issues with Ukraine, it is tends to be divided deeply.

Edit- This is SRR. I forgot I was logged on this account.

I liked Okocim's beers on average, but they do get about an average score according to critics. Zubrowka in those dandy little glasses paired with a decent cigar was always a worthy digestif, especially if you can get the drink homemade. In all, though, our neighbors to the west beat our asses (always with the Germans and the beatings) when it comes to brewing. Belvedere vodka of course is great, but you can get it most places anyway.

And my dear Turkish friends, let us not forget the Battle of Vienna, hm?

Too easy. The Italian-flag-style pizza has already been made, and it's the Pizza Margherita - named after Queen Margherita di Savoia: basil for green, mozzarella for white and tomato for red.

Considering that the Slavic flags often sport white-red-blue, the problem would be finding something blue for a Panslavic pizza... caviar is either reddish or black. Maybe some Czech cheese with a bluish mould? I have to think about that.

Why not Blue Cheese?
