pfft no. Poland repelled all the Arabic attacks against it and it was one of the most powerful countries in the world, and it was very progressive. The same cannot be said for uumm... Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uzbeistan etc. The only successful Arabic countries are the ones who have adopted western values.

My fascination for Russia started when I was a 6-year old playing Red Alert 2. I also loved watching the movie Anastasia and wondered if she was the same as Cinderella's step-sister. As I grew up, I began to wonder why the current Russian flag isn't the red field with a yellow hammer and sickle on the top so I began to do a little research. When I knew that Russia was once a Great Empire, I vowed to dedicate most of my life in praising its glory. Russian History is my forte and I am very enthusiastic when it comes to reading stuff about Russia. I also do not recognise any formal religion but I idolise some Slavic saints such as Saint-Tsar Nicholas II and Saint Olga of Kiev.

The Arabic Caliphates were the strongest and most advanced nations of the time. The fact that they are not today means nothing. Nations get set backed, usually by war. Hell, look at the Serbian empire. It was the strongest nation of europe in its time. It was greatly advanced(much more so than western european countries), but look at Serbia today. We're even more unadvanced than the middle east.

At least you have basic regards for women and other relgious people, but back to hundreds of years ago... Arabia would have made Europe stuck in their shitty world view. The caliphates ruthlessly killed people who were not Muslims, and if a woman was raped, she was stoned to death for reporting it unless there were at least 4 male witnesses.

The Christian crusaders stormed Jerusalem in the First Crusade and massacred all the Jews and Muslims, even though they and the Orthodox Christians were living quite peacefully and harmoniously before the crusaders arrived.

When Saladin (a Muslim) took back Jerusalem in 1187, not only did he allow the Crusaders who had conquered the area to leave, he also allowed Christian pilgrimages to Jerusalem. Now that is progressive.

Actually I identify as white cause I took after my mother and her white skin. However there are plenty of Greeks with brownish skin.

Yeah, the Balkans had their Dark age after being conquered by the Turks. Before we were flourishing, from Byzantium even to when it fell apart.

That was my point exactly... the Christians were senselessly massacreing anyone who didn't fit their beliefs, whereas Saladin treated everyone with respect, including the conquered
