I used pronouns until the mods made using wrong pronouns warnable, so I use names instead; if you see malice there, that's entirely on you, and if pronouns are no longer warnable, I'll go back to using them

G'day guys! :)

Nation Name: Noble Poland
Nation Link: Noble Poland
Nationality: Polish
Your views on Pan-Slavism: It would be nice if Slavs didn't hate one another (aka Misson Impossible)
Your views on Slavic Countries: Absolutely positive! Especially people are awesome.
Your views on Slavic Governments: Mostly negative. As a Pole, I know what it's like to have hopeless gov't
Languages that you speak: Polish, English, French, a little bit Dutch
Which country/state do you live in: Poland, Kuyavian-Pomeranian voivodeship
Where were you born: Poland
Your favorite thing about Slavic Culture: Really many things, but mostly food. Is there anything better than Slavic cuisine? Also languages - We, Slavs, can understand one another, sometimes with many major problems. And if it counts - people. Very sociable, hospitable and simply cool - as we say, do tańca i do różańca - to the dance and to the rosary. Moreover, Slavic women are told to be one of the most beautiful ones. What about guys? I'm literally crazy about them! :p
Favorite book/author/movie/music/etc: I enjoy watching Dzień Świra, Nic śmiesznego, Wszyscy jesteśmy Chrystusami, reading Mickiewicz's poems, I'm absolutely in love with Nabokov's Lolita and Chopin's études. Unfortunately I don't have many opportunities to familiarise with Slavic culture, because schools are in love with ancient Rome and Greece.
My political compass:
Economic Left/Right: 3.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 4.62

I'm addicted to pierogies. Meh.

To be honest Pan-Slavism today is non-existant in national terms.

As with most ideas, politics ruined it. Russia used it as an excuse and thus gave it a bad title. It's like history teachers calling north vietnam "communist" even though no country ever even came close enough to be called communist.

So? What harm did Russia's pan-slavist views during the 18th/19th century do?
