Obama isn't a socialist. A socialist might've gotten the job done.

Give an example of one socialist country that had a good quality of life and a good economy. No theoretical models- only real life examples.

The nations of Scandinavia are a good example of this.

I doubt he will win. I strongly suspect that ECRI will be proven right again and we'll have some sort of obvious economic leg-down event before the election. But if he does manage to win, no he won't magically reverse direction. Why would he?

Hahaha! Failure. Sweden! Who wants to live in that socialist mess? High taxes, lots of people living on welfare, and a high amount of depressed people.

1: ObamaCare was not universal health care.

2: What ''huge'' welfare programs?

3: Because only a socialist supports art funding?

4: You already said welfare.

5: Let's not forget TARP, or the fact that nationalization has nothing to do with socialism.

Right, because he's definitely going to push through universal healthcare with the Republicans in congress especially after the last time. :palm:

Yeah- because we are starting to lean the same way. Also, the situation is worse in Europe, where they have more socialistic policies, than in the United States, where they have less.

Socialist messes aren't all that bad. Just look at the top 4 economies: USA, China, Japan, and Germany. Apart from the US, you've got a communist regime, a highly collectivist society, and a socialist mess. Not too shabby.

Not so. Ireland and Iceland are highly deregulated. It fucked them over really bad during the banking crisis.

His healthcare plan was hardly socialist it was probably one of the most conservative ways you could have tackled universal healthcare, I'm not certain I know what Huge Welfare Programs you speak of (or why those words were capitalized). I doubt any spending on art would qualify as 'massive'. Giving money to corporations isn't really socialist either, it is corporatism. And annoying our allies is not really synonymous with socialism either.
Mostly you just gave me reasons you dislike Obama, several of which aren't that good of reasons. How exactly is the President socialist?

[Edit] My bad, absorbed your last sentence and struck out the bit about it.

The problem with taxes comes when they stifle your ability to live well. If all your needs are provided for and you have enough for your wants, higher taxes is actually quite good.
