I really dislike his endorsement of what is pretty much the Bush doctrine as far as foreign relations is concerned. His handling of the economy just took Bush's failure further. We've got tangible gains now, but I wonder how much of that is linked to his policies.

His healthcare plan was hardly socialist it was probably one of the most conservative ways you could have tackled universal healthcare, I'm not certain I know what Huge Welfare Programs you speak of (or why those words were capitalized). I doubt any spending on art would qualify as 'massive'. Giving money to corporations isn't really socialist either, it is corporatism. And annoying our allies is not really synonymous with socialism either.

The problem with taxes comes when they stifle your ability to live well. If all your needs are provided for and you have enough for your wants, higher taxes is actually quite good.
