While we believe in Yahweh, another religion that has different views also claims to follow Him and thus all would be grouped together despite great differences. Jesuits are Catholic priest in/a part of(don't know the proper descriptions of how they are a part of) the Society of Jesus (others being Franciscans or Benedictines). We are Christians because we follow the Messiah, the Savior, and that is the defining nature of Jesus that we look at, that he came to save us.

I've gotta tentatively agree with him, though. As mythologies go, the Judeo-Christian mythology pretty dull and unimaginative.

Because Darwin didn't create atheism. Or found it. Or really form atheist ideology, since there is no unified atheist ideology other than the rejection of belief in a deity.

EDIT: Also because one can be an Darwinist without being atheist, and an atheist without being a Darwinist.

I wouldn't call it Judeo-Christian mythology. That implies Judaism and Christianity are joined together in some relationship.

The two are not related to each other. One is what it is, and the other leeches on to it.

Ok they might be mythology but the Quran is an interesting book, so is the Bible, and the Torah to, their all interesting.

Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism.

Christianity is not an offshoot of Judaism. That implies it is a branch of Judaism, which it is not. It disregards everything in part about being Jewish, and Judaism altogether.

Christianity and Judaism are not related religious or philosophically, or even culturally. They are only related historically, and that is because they need justification for their false messiah.

At the very least, if it turns out to be false, how people could believe that it doesn't conflict and other "wild" claims.

That's not really so much as interesting because of it's religious claims, it's interesting from a philosophical and scientific standpoint.
