Healthcare Reform, for Georgia.

Postby Soyut » Mon Sep 21, 2009 12:07 pm

So a recent incident got me thinking about universal healthcare. Well, I was riding down a beautiful sidewalk here in Georgia, with way too much alcohol in me an I face-planted into some concrete. Now it's two days later and I'm still missing some skin and I've been having random nosebleeds every morning. Lucky for me I haven't started my job yet, so I ... wait. I don't have healthcare yet. Shit.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think Obama's healthcare plan is dumb. So I have my own plan. I say we make the government fund hospital and doctor visits with vouchers. That way, we can keep our current infrastructure, keep healthcare companies competing and ensure that everyone is covered. Now I realize that this plan does not address every single problem with healthcare, but does any plan? I would like to hear your thoughts on the matter.

OMG, It's so obvious! Of course!! Science has lied to us!!!

It's time to abandon scientific progress and only look towards the Lord Jesus Christ (who is white of course) for guidance in all matters!

There is a thread on this.
I am the very model of the modern kaiju Gamera
I've a shell that's indestructible and endless turtle stamina.
I defend the little kids and I level downtown Tokyo
in a giant free-for-all mega-kaiju rodeo.

Where's the gov't gonna get the money, Sir?
It's still gotta come out of your pocket... one way or the other.

I'll take my chances with the current system- or, if anything, I'd make sure that the government can'[t touch health care at all by passing a law to that effect.

The only decent idea on the table is the 'no denial of insurance' clause, but I do believe (as a person with multiple preexisting conditions, mainly due to military) that someone that uses the insurance benefits still needs to pay higher premiums than a healthier person.
